It's been rather difficult for my family to keep track of where I have been. So this may help. I'm up north. Yes, that's right, I am up here now and will be staying for a little while. I have enjoyed all my recent travels. Let's start with May. I started out at Noded south (Florida). Flew up to Noded north to clean house. I did such a good job on the hose, I just had to find more to clean. Just kidding. I have not been up to Noded north since October. That's a very long time and a great chance for the dust bunnies to take hold. They did. The other thing that gets out of hand, is the mail. Mr. Noded sends or brings down what he believes is important and it is. There is however, all the other mail. Mr Noded piles this up on the dinning room table because he doesn't use it while I'm not there. This year, he did a great job of just tossing it all out. Made things much easier.
The reason for my flying up was to clean house and find the guest room. The reason for finding the guest room was because our great friends from England were coming to visit up north. Most people come down to Florida to see us, including them, however they haven't been to Chicago in a while and wanted a chance to see it again. I don't generally have guests up here so for the most part, the guest room is the storage room. This meant having to remove boxes and some furniture. Of course, because I am crazy, I also decided that it needed to be painted. Not so hard you would think but the last time we did anything to it was in 19 oh I'm thinking 85. At that time, we had nodette #2 in there and put Laura Ashley wallpaper and boarder up. I did say paper. This would be the stuff that sticks very, very well and only comes off when it takes the wall board with it. More fun then I could handle, so I enlisted the aid of Mr. Noded. He has been with me long enough to know that I can get a little crazy as I start these projects. So, he got down on his knees and helped remove the wallpaper. Thank you dear. Of course, what's a guest room without a bed? Again, daughters bed from 19 whatever. So, new bed bought and delivered. New bedding. Great, we were all set for company. That meant flying back down to Florida because that's where they were flying in to.

Friends from England.
They wanted to start in Florida because ..well it's Florida. There's the beach and the golf and the beach and the golf. I think that covers it all. Our plan was to enjoy some time down there and then Mr. Noded had to fly back up because somebody has to work. Paul, Les and I (Paul is on the right Les is on the left) drove up through the Carolinas and Tennessee. Plus a few other states to get to Illinois. Well enough for now. I will continue with our trip on the next blog.
