Just how jumpy are we?

Mr Noded and I were at the food store the other day. While at the deli counter, Mr Noded pulled out his newest toy, a small HD video camera and was just recording a few things. The look on the faces of the people behind the counter said it all. The first look was of panic. Then they just kept watching him to see what he was doing. I finally said that it was just my husband shooting some video. Now in all fairness to them, it is a small dark video camera and he was pointing it but what does that say about how jumpy we are these days?

Tax Time

Yes, it's getting to be that time of the year that I'm not really fond of. This year Mr. Noded and I decided to find an accountant down in Florida. Part of the trying to move down here bit. We are in a small town but there seems to be a few accountants to choose from. I made the calls and talked to a couple. I found one I thought we might like and Mr. Noded and I went to see her. We asked questions and she gave answers. It all went well. So, we said go ahead and Mr. Noded sent over his business tax stuff. That was weeks ago. I finally called to find out what was happening, since business taxes have to be filed by March 15th. (17th this year since 15th is on Saturday). She told me that she was going to file extensions for her clients. That way she would feel better and not so rushed. While I'm glad that she will feel better, I was a bit put out to say the least. We have always filled on time and while it was no big deal to her, it is to me. Today she called to say she was feeling better and things were going along great. Of course, my taxes still aren't done....but she is feeling better. What more could I ask for. Again, small town, I tend to forget these things. Oh well, next time I ask questions of an accountant, I'm going to make sure that one of them is, can you get this done in a timely manner?

How can little people make so much noise?

That's the question of the day. I'm not talking about kids either. Living in Florida has some interesting side effects. There are lots of visitors. Generally when the weather is bad up north, like it has been this winter. My neighbor comes down very little and so he rents out his unit for a couple of months. Now he is a rather large man with a very big dog. He makes almost no noise when he is there. He always comes with a guest and I rarely hear them. There is no carpeting, it is all tile. This does tend to make sound louder. The little, tiny younger woman, who owned the unit before him, was one of the nosiest people around. I just could not understand how someone so tiny could make so much noise. It would sound like elephants were running up and down. I thought that was a rare thing however, the new little, tiny old people renting seem to be moving the furniture around everyday. They don't pick it up, they drag it. It may have something to do with the fact that they are old and tiny. Leave the furniture in one place please! Then they run up and down and drop things. I just don't get it. What are they doing in there and how can little people make so much noise?

How did we get to the end of February?

I can't believe we are already at the end of February. Where did it all go? Well, where ever it went, it went very fast. So far, we have had two birthdays, month long company, watched nodettelet #1 for five days
( can't really call it babysitting when he is 15 can you!) oh yes, and went on a seven day cruise with Mr. Noded. His first. I think he may have liked it because he has been checking out other cruises, looking for another one maybe. That's the update. I have a feeling there is much more to come.

Calling Dell

Yes, I broke down and called Dell today to find out why my computer has failed. I didn't do this right a way because I thought they would charge me. Turns out I had an agreement with them I didn't know about. So, after two hours of quality phone time with Dell, having done everything but stand on my head, they have pronounced my computer officially dead. WOW, I know I fell better. It's not like they send a death certificate or anything. They just call it. Time of death 12:01 pm on July 25th. They are sending my a new hard drive and cds. So, I will get to start all over again. How cool is that?
